Privacy & Security
No! This is one of PictriKit's key features. All image processing happens locally in your web browser using JavaScript. This ensures complete privacy and security for your sensitive screenshots.

Features & Usage
PictriKit supports the most common image formats: PNG, JPG/JPEG, GIF, and WebP. These formats cover virtually all screenshots from any device or application. The exported image is saved as PNG format, which supports transparency and provides high quality.
There's no artificial limit on the number of screenshots you can combine. The practical limit depends on your device's memory and browser capabilities. Most users can easily combine 10-20 screenshots without issues. For very large projects with many high-resolution images, you may experience slower performance.
Yes! After the initial page load, PictriKit can work offline because all processing happens in your browser. However, you'll need an internet connection to initially load the website and access any updates or new features.
Yes! PictriKit is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. The interface adapts to smaller screens with touch-optimized controls. You can upload screenshots from your photo library, arrange them with touch gestures, and export the final result directly on your mobile device.
To crop an image: 1) Select the image on the canvas, 2) Click the Crop button (crop icon) in the sidebar, 3) Adjust the crop rectangle by dragging or resizing, 4) Click Confirm to apply or Cancel to exit. You can also use keyboard shortcuts: K to toggle crop mode, Enter to confirm, and Escape to cancel.
Yes! Crop operations are fully integrated with the undo/redo system. Simply press Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac) to undo a crop, or use the Undo button in the toolbar. You can undo multiple times to go back through your editing history.
Absolutely! You can crop the same image multiple times to refine your selection. Each crop operation builds on the previous one, allowing you to progressively trim the image to exactly what you need. If you make a mistake, just use Ctrl+Z to undo.
Currently, PictriKit doesn't have a built-in save/load project feature. However, you can download intermediate versions of your work as you progress. We're considering adding project save functionality in a future update. If this feature is important to you, please let us know!
Technical Questions
PictriKit works on all modern web browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. We recommend using the latest version of your browser for the best experience. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Performance depends on your device's capabilities and the size/number of images you're working with. To improve performance: (1) Close other browser tabs and applications, (2) Use smaller image files when possible, (3) Reduce the number of screenshots on the canvas, (4) Try using a different browser, or (5) Restart your browser to free up memory.
There's no artificial file size limit imposed by PictriKit. The practical limit depends on your device's available memory and browser capabilities. Most modern devices can handle images up to 10-20 MB without issues. Very large images (50+ MB) may cause performance problems or browser crashes.
Yes! PictriKit works perfectly on Chromebooks since it's a web-based application. Simply open Chrome browser and navigate to PictriKit. All features work the same as on Windows, Mac, or Linux computers.
Troubleshooting
Try these solutions: (1) Verify your file format is supported (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP), (2) Check that the file isn't corrupted by opening it in another program, (3) Try a different upload method (drag-drop instead of clicking), (4) Refresh the page and try again, (5) Try a different browser, or (6) Clear your browser cache and cookies.
This usually indicates a browser compatibility issue or cached data problem. Try: (1) Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R), (2) Clear your browser cache, (3) Disable browser extensions temporarily, (4) Try a different browser, or (5) Check if JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings.
Your screenshots might be outside the visible canvas area. Try: (1) Zoom out using the zoom controls or mouse wheel, (2) Click the "Fit to Screen" button (expand icon) to see the entire canvas, (3) Pan around by holding spacebar and dragging, or (4) If all else fails, refresh the page and upload again.
Check these common issues: (1) Ensure your browser allows downloads from our site, (2) Check if your browser's download folder is full or has permission issues, (3) Try using the "Copy to Clipboard" option instead, then paste into an image editor and save manually, (4) Disable any browser extensions that might block downloads, or (5) Try a different browser.
